SPARC has been the primary source of outside funding for the performing arts programs in the Summit Public Schools since 1996. Due to the changing landscape of state funding for our schools, outside financial support for our programs is needed now more than ever! During the 2022-2023 school year, SPARC provided a total of $42,150 in arts funding across the district!

SPARC supports the following programs:
  • Theater productions at the elementary, middle and high schools
  • LCJSMS TEDx program
  • LCJSMS Debate Team
  • SHS Speech & Debate Team

In addition to providing financial assistance, SPARC also:

  • Maintains an inventory of technical equipment (wireless microphone sets and LED spotlights) that are used to enhance productions at each school
  • Awards scholarships to graduating seniors
  • Hosts a Meet The Performing Arts Coaches forum for rising middle and high school students

SPARC is a NJ-registered non-profit organization as recognized under IRS section 501(c)(3) so donations are fully tax deductible as allowed by law. SPARC also qualifies for corporate matching gift programs. Please contact us if you would like more information about donations or matching gifts. SPARC's EIN is 36-4579175
