Grants

During the 2008-2009 school year, the Summit Performing Arts Resource Committee (SPARC) issued more than $17,000 in grants. These grants included funding for productions at Summit High School, Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School and all five elementary schools.  SPARC also funded acting and technical workshops, and theatre symposiums at the high school and middle school. In addition, SPARC funded sound equipment purchases and rentals across the upper and elementary schools, and awarded scholarships for graduating high school seniors.

SPARC Mary Snieckus Scholarship Fund

Each year, SPARC awards scholarships to eligible graduating students who have participated in Summit High School dramatic, musical or technical theatre or forensics programs, and have been accepted to a two or four year accredited college. The SPARC Mary Snieckus Scholarship fund was created to honor the memory of Mary Snieckus, a Summit resident and advocate for the performing arts.
